The rich and dynamic history of The Community House began in 1941 when a group of residents recognized there was a growing need to support and serve the community. Through the culmination of generations of leadership, The Community House meets the daily needs of today’s community in ever more relevant ways. With over 500 spaces available to individuals and families, our residential programs provide people the opportunity to rebuild their lives in a safe and structured environment. In Hollywood, CHC’s Safe Haven shelter immediately provides for youths’ basic human needs and urgent medical care. The program at Saint John’s currently has 47 participants, including those attending community college and some who are working toward getting their GED diplomas.

The Counseling Center provides highly qualified therapists to offer psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
